The State of Missouri’s Department of Social Services – Children’s Division in Macon County is seeking applications for a Paid Intern. The role may focus on investigations or alternative care, with higher pay possible via differential pay for shift or service time.

The intern will support case management, guardian services, and family resources while gaining hands-on field experience. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree, possess a valid driver's license, and can undergo

Competenze

• Hold a high school diploma or GED and be pursuing a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree.
• Valid driver's license and access to transportation for field duties.
• Pass criminal background checks and Central Registry clearance.

Mansioni

• Maintain case files, correspondence, and client confidential information in paper and electronic form.
• Provide paraprofessional coaching to clients to foster a positive family unit aligned with case goals.
• Offer instruction and guidance to parents on child development and parenting techniques.
• Assist with activities of daily living including goal setting, planning, and life skills.
• Support development of parenting skills, stress management, crisis management, and safety networks.
• Educate parents on accessing community resources.
• Conduct follow-up contacts as directed.
