Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a Caseworker Trainee or related internship in child welfare.
• Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent education with related coursework in social services.
• Experience with court coordination and family reunification processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess child risk, safety, and family strengths per legal mandates.
• Provide emergency response and in-home protective services for at-risk children.
• Manage caseload and maintain client records in the case management system.
• Initiate court proceedings to protect children when necessary.
• Coordinate with providers, police, and medical professionals involved with families.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and county policies.
• Maintain scheduling flexibility for visits and court appearances.
• Transport clients to home and placement visits as required.
