Job summary

Oklahoma Department Of Human Services in El Reno, OK seeks a Child Welfare Assistant to perform paraprofessional case management and client support. Qualifications

• Experience in general office clerical work is required or equivalent.
• Experience with child welfare or social services is preferred.
• Ability to interact with clients and family members professionally.

Responsibilities

• Complete paraprofessional child welfare case management activities.
• Schedule doctor visits, family visitations, court appearances and transport for children.
• Coordinate referrals to program areas, services, and courts; assist in problem resolution.
• Interview clients and families and report findings affecting plans and services.
• Provide administrative support: input case docs, compile data, schedule meetings.
• Advise clients on available child welfare services and community resources.
• Assist in coordinating services with law enforcement, courts, and providers.
• Support clients to obtain services and develop individualized service plans.
