Job summary

The Bartlett YMCA is seeking a Y-Play Center Attendant (PT) to provide quality care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in the child-watch program while families use the facility. This role emphasizes safety, nurturing relationships, and aligning with YMCA values.

You will support youth development, assist with program activities, attend family nights, and meet certification requirements within 30 days, including CPR, First Aid, and AED.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children and diverse populations preferred.
• Minimum age requirement: 18 years.
• Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR, First Aid and AED.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supervision, safety, and well-being of children in care.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with YMCA values.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of program sites and supplies.
• Complete and maintain required records.
• Attend family nights, program activities, team meetings, and trainings.
• Follow YMCA policies, including safety, sign-in/out, and emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with parents, children, and staff.
• Present a professional image and assist with other duties as assigned.
