Job summary

YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is seeking a part-time Y-Play Center Attendant at Johnson YMCA in Memphis, TN. This role provides quality child-watch care for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, fostering positive relationships with families while promoting youth development.

The position requires flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, and adherence to YMCA safeguarding policies. Training and certifications are expected within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• New Hire Orientation and Child Abuse Prevention training completed before first shift.
• Experience with children and diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supervision, safety, and well-being of all children under care.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with YMCA values.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of program sites, supplies, and toys.
• Complete and maintain required program records.
• Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, team meetings, and training sessions.
• Follow and enforce all YMCA policies and procedures, including safety and sign-in/out procedures.
