Job summary

YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking a Child Watch Attendant to supervise children in our branches, ensuring safety while providing engaging activities for ages 6 weeks to 10 years.

This part‑time role offers year‑round opportunities with a +10% bilingual differential for Spanish/English staff. Typical shifts include weekday evenings, Saturday and Sunday mornings, with duties ranging from activity facilitation to parent communication and facility maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Experience working with children and understanding of childhood development preferred.
• ARC/YMCA First Aid, CPR and Bloodborne Pathogens within 30 days of hire (training provided).
• Availability for 10+ hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Closely supervise all children to maintain a safe environment.
• Know staff-to-child ratios and room occupancy.
• Keep facility clean and safe per Child Watch expectations.
• Implement age-appropriate activities for children.
• Communicate clearly with parents, peers and supervisor.
• Serve as a substitute if needed.

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is looking for Child Watch Attendants. Child Watch is a program located in our YMCA branches that provide members with childcare while they work out, take classes or swim. The children play inside and outside, do craft projects, enjoy games and sports, and more. Child Watch is available to children ages 6 weeks to 10 years of age.Are you a responsible and reliable role model for littles? You genuinely love being around children, making a positive difference in their lives, and helping them grow, thrive, and celebrate their awesome selves.Summer Child Watch staffing hours are Mondays through Thursday evening 3:50 pm - 7:15 pm, Saturdays from 7:50 am - 12:45 pm, and Sundays from 8:50 am - 12:45 pm.This position is part-time, with year-round opportunities.
