Job summary

The City and County of Denver is seeking an Establishment Child Support Technician II with the Economic Security Division to support the establishment, enforcement and modification of child support obligations.

You’ll draft legal documents, prepare cases for hearings, and communicate with parties to explain processes while serving a diverse city population. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least four years of related experience; CBMS/ACSES and MS Office are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• Four years of experience in child support initiation, enforcement, collections, investigations, case management or related field.
• Education/Experience equivalency may substitute for the minimum experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical and legal work following administrative or judicial processes for child support services.
• Drafts legal documents such as stipulations, notices of financial responsibility, motions, summons, and subpoenas.
• Prepares cases for conferences or hearings with relevant information and case documentation.
• Communicates with parties to explain establishment processes and negotiation conferences or hearings.
• May participate in community outreach events or work at alternate city locations as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.
