Job summary

State of Georgia’s Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a Child Support Services Agent 2 in Marietta, GA. The position reports to a DCSS supervisor and involves establishing and enforcing child support obligations, and communicating with clients to manage and resolve cases.

Role requires a minimum HS diploma or GED with relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree, offers comprehensive benefits, paid holidays, and telework opportunities depending on the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of direct job-related experience.
• One (1) year of experience at the lower-level Child Support Services Agent 1 (SST060) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Establishes child support obligations and ensures that such obligations are met.
• Communicates with clients and other constituents via telephone, email, correspondence and direct contact to ensure that support obligations are met.
• Manages a caseload to ensure child support obligations are met.
• Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
• Under direct supervision, establishes and enforces child support obligations of responsible parents.
• Coordinates child support activities with legal, judicial and public organizations.
