Dodge County is seeking a dedicated Child Support Specialist – Enforcement to join our team. You will manage assigned caseloads, draft and file legal documents, track case activity in KIDS, and verify medical support obligations under Wisconsin statutes.

This role supports court appearances, negotiations, and interstate enforcement to ensure compliance and timely resolution. We offer a full-time, non-exempt position with a starting wage range of $26.32/hr to $28.97/hr, a comprehensive benefits

Competenze

• Associates degree in human services, business, legal, or other related area and two (2) years’ work experience in a legal setting or related public service agency. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience in civil legal process and direct work with the general public.
• Must successfully pass IRS and criminal background check.

Mansioni

• Reviews, researches and assesses applications/referrals for determinations of child support or medical support orders and enforcement.
• Drafts, composes, enters and processes legal documents to establish and enforce child support.
• Documents contacts, correspondence and records all actions taken for each case in KIDS.
• Reviews and interprets financial information to determine child support obligations per Wisconsin statutes and guidelines.
• Attends court hearings, takes notes, and testifies if summoned.
• Negotiates settlement agreements with parents and attorneys; discusses stipulations prior to court dates.
• Prepares legal documents for scheduled Court hearings and income withholding orders.
• Prepares documents for interstate enforcement and coordinates with other states.
• Conducts investigative activities to locate absent parents.
• Monitors and enforces child support orders and payment records.
• Communicates with clients, attorneys, employers, and others regarding case concerns.
• Implements administrative lien process, account seizure and alternative payment plans.
• Maintains case files in KIDS and electronic records; close cases per federal criteria.
• Attends trainings and meetings as required; provides backup assistance as needed.
