Child Support Attorney I / II / III / IV

Annual Salary: Salary level depends on the experience level of the applicant chosen.

  • Level I (Q80A): $66,666.67 + Full State Employee Benefits
  • Level II (Q80B): $71,428.57 + Full State Employee Benefits
  • Level III (Q80C): $76,190.48 + Full State Employee Benefits
  • Level IV (Q80D): $85,714.29 + Full State Employee Benefits

Job-related travel is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.

Preferred Minimum Qualifications
  • Level I: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, license to practice law in Oklahoma, membership in the Oklahoma Bar Association.
  • Level II: Same as Level I, plus two years of legal or adjudicative experience.
  • Level III: Same as Level I, plus five years of legal or adjudicative experience.
  • Level IV: Same as Level I, plus seven years of legal experience, including two years of litigation or agency-defined legal practice, or supervisory experience.
Job Responsibilities
  • Require daily in-person appearances at the Oklahoma County courthouse to assist judges, private attorneys, and pro se parties with legal interpretation, policy, and court proceedings related to child support.
  • Research Oklahoma County domestic filings and dockets, prepare and file pleadings, conduct trials in child support hearings, develop processes for guardianship, adoption, and domestic filings, and attend weekly Pro Se Divorce Clinics to resolve child support issues and prepare related documents.
