Job summary

The Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Economic Assistance, is seeking a CSE Accountant II in Lincoln, NE. You will perform full-process accounting duties, ensuring accurate receipt, distribution, and reporting of child support payments and compliance with federal/state rules.

Minimum qualifications include an associate degree or 2 years in accounting, with familiarity in CHARTs, NIS, OnBase, JUSTICE, and NFOCUS, and strong GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or related field or 2 years’ experience in accounting procedures.
• Familiarity with court orders and accounting software tools (CHARTs, NIS, OnBase, JUSTICE, NFOCUS).
• Knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, and financial reporting principles.

Responsibilities

• Receipt, balance, deposit, and validate receipting and disbursement of child support payments.
• Interpret court orders and analyze payment records; reconcile across jurisdictions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual federal/state reports.
• Collaborate with child support workers and clients to resolve issues and optimize disbursements.
