Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a new social worker to join the Child Protection Program for a 30-hour weekly role focused on psychosocial support, assessment, advocacy, and consultation for children and families affected by suspected maltreatment.

Qualified candidates will have a Master’s in Social Work and LICSW licensure with at least 5 years of licensed experience, preferably in medical settings and child protection matters.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work required.
• LICSW licensure in MA required.
• Minimum of 5 years of licensed social work experience.
• Experience in medical settings, child protection, trauma, or family violence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical consultation to hospital staff and partners on child protection concerns.
• Performs psychosocial and risk assessments and develops treatment plans.
• Supports discharge planning and outpatient service coordination with the care team and community agencies.
• Educates and trains medical staff and students on trauma-informed practice and child protection protocols.
• Participates in prevention activities and interdisciplinary team meetings.
