Job summary

EMPOWER seeks a Permanency Support Supervisor to oversee Adoption, Independent Living, Family Finder, and Courtesy Supervision Coordinators in the DFPS Permanency Services Program. You will ensure accurate documentation, coordinate services, and work with public and private agencies to support children and families.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field with 4 years of child placing experience, and a commitment to cultural responsiveness and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited four-year college or university with 4 years full time child placing experience as a worker or above in a private or state agency.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Adoption Coordinators, Independent Living Coordinators, Family Finder Coordinators, and Courtesy Supervision Coordinators assigned to the area.
• Provides administrative expertise as required.
• Ensures the accuracy, content, and completeness of documentation and files.
• Participates in planning, programming, and budgeting of the Permanency Program.
• Develops short-, intermediate-, and long-range plans and goals for the Permanency Program.
• Develops Permanency Policies and Procedures.
• Maintains a close working relationship with public and private agencies and stakeholders involved in providing Permanency services/support.
• Organizes program meetings and conducts orientation and on-the-job training of staff.
• Coordinates Permanency services with public and private agencies and stakeholders.
• Coordinates community resources for the benefit of children/families served by the Permanency Program.
• Compiles required statistical data and reports to appropriate agencies.
