Job summary

Child Start is seeking a Food Server to prepare and store foods for nourishing snacks and meals for children at the centers. You will maintain kitchen cleanliness, including refrigerators, ovens, cabinets, and equipment, and ensure compliance with Health Department and CACFP guidelines.

Regular attendance is essential for this position. Responsibilities include documenting temperatures, labeling, cleaning, and assisting with menu adjustments in coordination with the Nutrition Coordinator and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 12 months related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hot and cold foods at recommended temperatures.
• Store and label food properly.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and cleanliness.
• Clean dishes and kitchen while upholding health standards.
• Record daily food deliveries, menus, meals, and servings.
• Assist Nutrition Coordinator to adjust menus for dietary needs.
• Deliver meals to classrooms with serving utensils and tableware.
• Note discrepancies in food delivered and report to Nutrition Coordinator.
• Inventory and request necessary supplies.
• Support Family Activity events.
