YISD is seeking a Campus Nutrition Supervisor to assist in maintaining and supervising a school food service program under the direction of the principal and cafeteria manager. The role emphasizes adherence to federal/state laws, board policies, and program guidelines.
Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, ensuring food safety, and assisting in reporting and data entry as needed.
Assist in the efficient maintenance and supervision of a food service program in an individual school under the direction and guidance of the school principal and the cafeteria manager. Adhere to established federal and state laws and regulations and YISD Board of Trustees policies and procedures.
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required; possess current Food Handler's Card; three (3) years food service experience; ability to organize, delegate, instruct and train; ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English. Strong communication and leadership skills preferred. Valid Texas/New Mexico driver's license/ID card; subject to the district's drug and alcohol screening policy and regulation; must be insurable by the district's auto liability insurance carrier.
Handle multiple tasks while working under pressure. Maintain emotional control under stress and work with frequent interruptions. Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to fifty (50) pounds frequently. Handle exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures. Do continual walking, prolonged standing, pushing and pulling. Do frequent bending, kneeling, stooping and climbing (ladder).
