Job summary

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is hiring a Child & Family Services Case Manager for the Western Iowa Service Area based in Woodbury County, Sioux City. You will coordinate services for families, monitor progress, and advocate for reunification and safety.

The role involves ongoing case management, collaboration with service providers and legal partners, and a chance to impact children’s futures through stable, loving homes.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk and safety factors affecting children and families in various settings
• Schedule and conduct monthly in-home visits with parents and children
• Prepare timely and accurate case notes and court reports
• Attend court hearings and testify as required
• Respond to crises with urgent, stabilizing interventions
• Collaborate with legal professionals, law enforcement, treatment providers and community partners
• Manage a diverse caseload with flexibility and analytical reasoning
