Summary of Job Duties: Kids First Pine Bluff seeks a Child Development Technician passionate about helping children grow and learn. The role involves providing care and intervention to children aged birth to 5 with developmental delays and medical needs. Kids First serves children with healthcare needs ranging from six weeks to five years, offering intensive intervention in pediatric clinics.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED plus six months experience caring for children; education in early childhood or related fields can substitute experience (including CCOT, CDA, AA, or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field).
  • Must pass state abuse registry checks, drug screen, TB test, and immunizations or provide proof of immunizations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to identify developmental needs
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with parents and staff
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of early childhood curriculum

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality direct care, including feeding, diapering, dressing
  • Offer developmentally appropriate behavioral guidance
  • Follow the direction of ECDS to deliver individualized developmental services
  • Create engaging learning environments and apply curriculum aligned with treatment plans

Physical activity levels include constant, frequent, and occasional activities such as feeling, listening, climbing, crawling, sitting, etc.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience
