Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Early Childhood Care Assistant to provide direct care for a group of young children, including feeding, diapering, dressing, and mealtime support.

You will deliver developmentally appropriate guidance, follow the treatment plan, and help implement curricula to meet individualized objectives in a family-focused setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months of experience caring for children.
• Additional education (CDA/CCOT/AA or BA in ECE or related field) can substitute experience.
• Legal authority to work in the United States on day one.
• Pre-employment checks including background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality direct patient care for a group of young children, including mealtimes, feeding, diapering, and dressing.
• Offer developmentally appropriate behavioral guidance within daily activities.
• Follow directions from the Early Childhood Development Specialist to deliver individualized developmental services.
• Deliver child-centered, family-focused intervention using evidence-based practices.
• Create engaging learning environments and implement the curriculum to meet treatment plan objectives.
• Establish exciting learning environments to support child growth and development.

Job description

• Provide quality direct patient care for a group of young children, including serving mealtimes, assisting with feeding, diapering, and dressing
• Provide developmentally appropriate behavioral guidance within daily scheduled activities
• Follow the direction of the Early Childhood Development Specialist to provide individualized developmental services in assigned treatment rooms
• Deliver child-centered, family-focused, evidence-based or best-practice intervention
• Establish exciting learning environments for young children
• Apply curriculum to address objectives in each child’s treatment plan

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6 months experience working in the care of children
• Additional education including CCOT, CDA, AA, or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field may be substituted for the experience requirement
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
• Proof of Veteran Status, Resume, Unofficial/Official Transcript(s)
• Subject to pre-employment screening, including criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification
• Ability to perform required physical activities, including crawling, crouching, kneeling, lifting, manipulating items with fingers, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, talking, walking, and occasional sitting
