Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a PRN Child Development Worker to supervise and guide a group of children in a safe, nurturing environment. You will plan activities, document attendance, and ensure health and safety procedures are followed.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families and staff to support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth through play-based learning and developmentally appropriate practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of developmental milestones for age group.
• Prepare daily lesson plans.
• Maintain supplies and materials.
• Document daily attendance.
• Prepare accident/incident reports.
• Maintain health/medication forms and records.
• Ensure health/CPR/first aid certificates on file.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff.
• Resolve conflicts between children.
• Encourage exploration, self-awareness, and play-based learning.
• Use developmentally appropriate practices to foster language development.

Responsibilities
