Job summary

YWCA Charleston WV is seeking a dedicated Food Service Coordinator for the Mel Wolf Child Development Center. The role oversees all center food service operations, plans menus, orders supplies, and ensures meals and snacks meet nutritional standards for infants through after-school programs.

You will supervise kitchen staff, maintain records, coordinate with teachers, and uphold health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• One year of relevant food service work experience.
• Office of Child Nutrition training (CACFP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan the center’s menus as required by the Center Director.
• Order required supplies and ingredients for weekly food service.
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily for the center and after-school campers.
• Maintain records as required by health and licensing authorities.
• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure cleanliness and safety.
