Job summary

The Chickasaw Nation Child Development Center in Ardmore is hiring a full-time Child Development Teacher Assistant to join the Ardmore team. The role involves supervising children, maintaining clean classrooms, and promoting safe, development-focused activities.

Essentially, you will engage with children, reinforce positive behaviors, and ensure health and safety standards while meeting training requirements and collaborating with staff.

Qualifications

• High School, GED or Equivalent.
• Must complete Sleep Safe, Shaken Baby and ELCCT trainings within required timelines.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid within 30 days of employment, promotion, or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision of children during meals, activities, and play.
• Maintain neat, clean classrooms; ensure toys are cleaned weekly and sorted daily.
• Support health, welfare and safety of children at all times; respond to needs promptly.
• Engage with children, provide comfort and security, and redirect challenging behavior.
• Ensure bedding is clean; change diapers/clothing as needed.
• Participate in required trainings and continuing education.
