Job summary

The Holton-Arms School seeks collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic Childcare Teacher Substitute for the Child Development Center at Holton-Arms School.

The Substitute works with the Director of the Child Development Center and other teachers to ensure the health and safety of all children in our care and to provide a happy, developmental experience for the children based on age appropriate activities and experiences.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of Early Childhood Education and best practices in the field (preferred).
• Excellent verbal communication. Ability to build a relationship with children and families.
• A desire to make a difference in the lives of children daily.
• Strong organization skills.
• iPad experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the teachers of Holton Arms Child Development in planning and delivering lesson plans provided by Holton Arms Child Development Center.
• Maintain a safe environment where children can play and learn.
• Work as a team member both within your class and across classes to ensure all the needs of every child are met.
• Ability to lift and carry a child who weighs up to about 40 pounds.
