The Child Development Assistant Teacher’s primary role is tosupportthe Lead Teacherin all aspects of the classroom routine.
- Preparation of the learning environment as the third teacher,
- Assessment of children’s learning and development, licensing compliance,
- Ensuring safety and proper supervision of children at all times and
- Any other tasks assigned by the Lead Teacher.
Background, Education and Experience
- A GED or High School required
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credentialreflective of the age group of children they are supporting is desirable.
- As a Christian Faith-based center, we only consider and hire candidates from Christian denominations that believe in God, Jesus his Son and the Holy Spirit.
General requirements
- Pass Federal and State background checks.
- Hold US Citizenship or be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to be physically active throughout work hours to include, but not limited to - regularly lifting up to 40 pounds, engaging in repetitive movements, bending and standing easily and quickly, as well as kneeling and sitting on the floor for extended periods of time.
- Competences of ability to work with diverse teams, teamwork, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as cultural sensitivity

- All classrooms are staffed by a minimum of two teachers, and most if not all classrooms exceed ratio requirements for most of the day on a regular basis.
