Columbia Baptist Child Development Center (CDC) is a Christian, Reggio-inspired, Full Day preschool serving children ages 16 months to 5 years old. The Child Development Assistant Teacher’s primary role is tosupportthe Lead Teacherin all aspects of the classroom routine.

• Preparation of the learning environment as the third teacher,
• Assessment of children’s learning and development, licensing compliance,
• Ensuring safety and proper supervision of children at all times and
• Any other tasks assigned by the Lead Teacher.

Background, Education and Experience

• A GED or High School required
• Child Development Associate (CDA) Credentialreflective of the age group of children they are supporting is desirable.
• As a Christian Faith-based center, we only consider and hire candidates from Christian denominations that believe in God, Jesus his Son and the Holy Spirit.

General requirements

• Pass Federal and State background checks.
• Hold US Citizenship or be authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to be physically active throughout work hours to include, but not limited to - regularly lifting up to 40 pounds, engaging in repetitive movements, bending and standing easily and quickly, as well as kneeling and sitting on the floor for extended periods of time.
• Competences of ability to work with diverse teams, teamwork, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as cultural sensitivity
• A cover letter and Resume need to be submitted to be considered for the position.
