Job summary

The YMCA of Columbia-Willamette, Inc. in West Linn is seeking a part-time Teacher's Aide to support after-school care from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. You will assist lead staff in creating a safe, engaging environment and help deliver a positive, child-centered program.

Responsibilities include maintaining a supportive classroom, implementing a fun curriculum, and building strong relationships with children, parents, and the school community in the YMCA After School program.

The YMCA is looking for fun, hard working, individuals looking to make an impact in our community. This position will assist in providing after school care at West Linn. This is a part time position with approximate hours of 2:00-6:00pm.

Requirements

A Teacher's Aide will work in the program under the guidance and instruction of teachers. Responsibilities include assisting lead staff in maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, implementing a fun and engaging curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the school community. Work is primarily performed at YMCA Before and After School programs in West Linn. At times, staff may be asked to travel outside of West Linn to fill in at other childcare sites within the YMCA Columbia-Willamette Association. There may be times when staff are asked to attend company events outside of their regular schedule. Staff will be notified ahead of time if and when this happens.
