Job summary

The Learning Experience - South Lyon Twp is seeking a caring Child Care Teacher to join our early childhood team. You will help children learn through play, support development, and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom in a full-time weekday schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous daycare/childcare experience preferred.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.
• Patient, dependable, energetic, and team-oriented.
• Strong communication skills; meet state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children.
• Lead and support age-appropriate learning and play activities.
• Encourage language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development.
• Guide children through meals, rest time, outdoor play, toileting/diapering, and classroom transitions.
• Provide positive guidance and attentive supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and center leadership.
• Follow applicable childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.

Child Care Teacher – Early Childhood Education

Pay: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience and credentials)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience is looking for a caring and energetic Child Care Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to be part of a supportive, professional childcare environment. You'll help children learn through play, develop new skills, build friendships, and feel safe and confident throughout their day.
