The Learning Lamp in Johnstown, PA is hiring for full-time and part-time childcare positions at the Center for Children at GJCTC in Richland Township. The role supports children through care, education, and development within a community-focused setting.

Full-time staff receive benefits including PTO, health and dental coverage, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, and more. Hours are typically 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the option for part-time flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ECE certification a plus.
• Experience with children and ability to pass required clearances and TB test.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and engage in active daily routines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and basic care routines.
• Follow daily schedule and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain open communication with parents and document progress.
• Support positive behavior through reinforcement and calm guidance.
• Monitor cleanliness and health and safety protocols.
• Keep accurate records of daily activities and incidents.
• Encourage parental involvement in events and activities.
• Pursue professional development and certifications.
