Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a Child Care Provider to supervise infants and toddlers, organize learning centers, and implement developmentally appropriate activities in alignment with EHS guidelines.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, assessing children, and collaborating with staff and parents to support social, emotional, and cognitive growth within a diverse classroom setting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum educational requirement of Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related area that includes a minimum of six (6) classes focusing on infant/toddler development.
  • Two years experience in preschool classroom with ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all children including at-risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations.
  • Oral and written communication skills which facilitate and support positive feedback from parents and between staff at all operational levels.
  • Ability to relate to clients from diverse populations.
  • Strong computer skills to include: spreadsheets, databases, presentation and word processing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide constant and continuous supervision of children by sight and hearing daily during all activities both indoor and outdoor, including sleeping/toileting areas.
  • Organize and setup learning centers within demonstration classroom at the beginning of each school year.
  • Screen and assess each assigned child according to prescribed schedule within the first 45 calendar days of enrollment.
  • Maintain up-to-date record-keeping system and manually record results for entry into tracking system.
  • Ensure that infants/toddlers are fed in accordance with best practices and procedures.
  • Develop and utilize lesson plans reflecting mandated elements and promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development bi-weekly.
  • Observe children daily and document anecdotal observations, group plans, and individualized plans.
  • Engage in activities that promote experimentation, exploration, problem-solving, cooperation, socialization, and choice-making.

Job description

Responsible for no more than four (4) infants/toddlers at a given time; however, this may require the supervision of children not directly assigned to the Child Care Provider.Supervise volunteer workers in the classroom.Inform Center Administrator or Assistant Center Administrator of staffing needs and changes immediately.Systems Evaluation and DevelopmentFollowing an approved curriculum, provide quality early childhood learning experiences in the following functional areas in accordance with prescribed practices outlined in the Ongoing Monitoring Management System:Education and Early Childhood DevelopmentERSEAHealth and HygieneNUT: Monitor USDA & ACF GuidelinesSafe Environments and TransportationCommunicationsProvide constant and continuous supervision of children by sight and hearing daily during all activities both indoor and outdoor, including sleeping/toileting areas.Organize and setup learning centers within demonstration classroom at the beginning of each school year. Infant environments should be adjusted as children grow and develop into toddlers.Screen and assess each assigned child according to prescribed schedule using agency-defined assessment instrument within the first forty-five (45) calendar days of enrollment.Maintain up-to-date record-keeping system in accordance with Record Keeping and Reporting Management System. Manually record results and give to Clerk for entry into Child Plus Tracking System according to prescribed schedule.Ensure that infants/toddlers are fed in accordance with best practices and procedures in EHS Operational Manual and USDA’s Feeding Infants Guide.Develop and utilize lesson plans, which reflect mandated elements, parental and cultural diversities and promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of EHS children bi-weekly.Observe children daily in their individual and group activities in learning center and make appropriate notations on child’s anecdotal observations, group lesson plans, and individualized plans.Engage in activities that promote experimentation, exploration, problem-solving, cooperation, socialization, and choice-making; ask open-ended questions and listen respectfully to answers.Minimum educational requirement of Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or arelated area that includes a minimum of six (6) classes focusing on infant/toddler development.Two years experience in preschool classroom with ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all childrenincluding at-risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations.Oral and written communication skills which facilitate and support positive feedback from parents and between staff at all operational levels.
