Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Child Care Provider to deliver quality early childhood learning experiences for infants and toddlers in a Head Start program. The role includes planning, implementing, and integrating development activities aligned with approved curricula and Ongoing Monitoring Management System guidelines.

The candidate should have an associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) with at least six infant/toddler courses and two years of preschool

Qualifications

• Minimum associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related area with at least six courses focusing on infant/toddler development.
• Two years’ experience in a preschool classroom with ability to adapt curriculum for diverse populations including at-risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse groups.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to support positive feedback from parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality early childhood learning experiences following an approved curriculum.
• Plan, implement, and integrate child development activities for assigned children.
• Supervise volunteers in the classroom.
• Report staffing needs and changes promptly to Center Administrator or Assistant Center Administrator.
• Follow Ongoing Monitoring Management System guidelines for education, health, ERSEA, and related areas.

Under the supervision of the Center Administrator and Assistant Center Administrator, andfollowing an approved curriculum, this position provides for quality early childhood learning experiences.Position will provide, plan for, implement and integrate child development activities for assigned children in such amanner that contributes to their growth and development in accordance with best practices for serving infants/toddlersand Head Start Performance Standards.Responsible for no more than four (4) infants/toddlers at a given time; however, this may require the supervision of children not directly assigned to the Child Care Provider.Supervise volunteer workers in the classroom.Inform Center Administrator or Assistant Center Administrator of staffing needs and changes immediately.Following an approved curriculum, provide quality early childhood learning experiences in the following functional areas in accordance with prescribed practices outlined in the Ongoing Monitoring Management System:Education and Early Childhood DevelopmentERSEAHealth and HygieneNUT: Monitor USDA & ACF GuidelinesMinimum educational requirement of associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or arelated area that includes a minimum of six (6) classes focusing on infant/toddler development.Two years experience in preschool classroom with ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all childrenincluding at-risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations.Oral and written communication skills which facilitate and support positive feedback from parents and between staff at all operational levels.
