Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills including spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and word processing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide constant and continuous supervision of children by sight and hearing daily during activities.
  • Organize and setup learning centers at the start of each school year and adjust infant environments as children grow.
  • Screen and assess each child within 45 days of enrollment using agency tools.
  • Maintain up-to-date record-keeping and report results to the Clerk for entry into Child Plus Tracking System.
  • Ensure infants/toddlers are fed according to best practices in EHS Manual and USDA guides.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting mandated elements and diverse backgrounds.
  • Observe children daily and annotate observations, plans, and individualized goals.
  • Engage children in activities promoting exploration, problem solving, cooperation, and socialization.

Responsibilities
  • Provide constant and continuous supervision of children by sight and hearing daily during all activities both indoor and outdoor, including sleeping/toileting areas.
  • Organize and setup learning centers within demonstration classroom at the beginning of each school year. Infant environments should be adjusted as children grow and develop into toddlers.
  • Screen and assess each assigned child according to prescribed schedule using agency-defined assessment instrument within the first forty-five (45) calendar days of enrollment.
  • Maintain up-to-date record-keeping system in accordance with Record Keeping and Reporting Management System. Manually record results, and give to Clerk for entry into Child Plus Tracking System according to prescribed schedule.
  • Ensure that infants/toddlers are fed in accordance with best practices and procedures in EHS Operational Manual and USDA’s Feeding Infants Guide.
  • Develop and utilize lesson plans, which reflect mandated elements, parental and cultural diversities and promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of EHS children bi-weekly.
  • Observe children daily in their individual and group activities in learning center and make appropriate notations on child’s anecdotal observations, group lesson plans, and individualized plans.
  • Engage in activities that promote experimentation, exploration, problem-solving, cooperation, socialization, and choice-making; ask open-ended questions and listen respectfully to answers.
Qualifications
  • A minimum educational requirement of Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related area that includes a minimum of six (6) classes focusing on infant/toddler development.
  • Two years experience in preschool classroom with ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all children including at-risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations.
  • Oral and written communication skills which facilitate and support positive feedback from parents and between staff at all operational levels. Ability to relate to clients from diverse populations.
  • Strong computer skills to include spreadsheets, databases, presentation and word processing.
