Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist to manage overall food preparation for a childcare facility. The role requires adapting to menu changes and meeting meal schedules for enrolled children and staff.

You will create home-style, nutritious meals within the school menu and budget while following USDA and health guidelines. Opportunities for growth, training, and flexible scheduling are available.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking and preparing food for multiple individuals in a childcare setting preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility with hours and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritious meal plans within the school menu and budget, and prepare meals and snacks for children and staff.
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director, meeting USDA/licensing/health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and reorder as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
