Learning Care is hiring a Food Specialist to handle the food preparation for our school's enrolled children in Indianapolis. The role requires adapting menus to the school’s menu and budget while meeting state and federal requirements.

You will create nutritious meals, prepare snacks for children and staff, and help in classrooms as needed. Flexible hours with a focus on health, safety, and teamwork are expected.

Qualifications

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within school menu and budget.
• Prepare meals/snacks for children and staff and distribute food to classrooms.
• Follow USDA, licensing, and health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
