Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist to manage overall food preparation for the school’s enrolled children. You will adapt to menu changes, prepare meals and snacks for children and staff, and ensure distribution to classrooms.

The role emphasizes health and safety, inventory management, and potential classroom support as an Assistant Teacher/Floater. We value flexibility with hours and a commitment to state and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking/food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to state/local regulations.
• Flexibility as to hours and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritious meals and snacks within menu and budget, and distribute food to classrooms.
• Follow daily menu incorporating USDA/licensing/health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
