Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist to manage overall food preparation for our school's enrolled children. You will create home-style, nutritious meals within menu constraints, and support meal distribution to classrooms.

You will follow USDA and licensing guidelines, maintain inventory, and assist in classrooms as needed. This is a role that emphasizes health, safety, and flexibility in a childcare setting.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking/food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within menu and budget boundaries, and prepare meals for children and staff.
• Follow the daily menu incorporating USDA, licensing, and health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
