Job summary

Learning Care is seeking a dedicated Food Specialist to manage the school’s meal program for enrolled children. You will prepare home-style, nutritious meals within the provided menu and budget while meeting state and federal requirements.

You will follow the Director's daily menu, ensure health and safety compliance, maintain inventory, and assist in classrooms as needed, with a Monday–Friday schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for groups in childcare setting preferred.
• Willingness to follow state and local regulations.
• Flexible hours; Monday–Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within menu and budget, and prepare meals and snacks for children and staff.
• Follow daily menu provided by the Director and comply with USDA/licensing/health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
