Job summary

MAOF seeks a Site Supervisor for the White Memorial Child Care Center to lead daily operations, ensure licensing compliance, and support high-quality early childhood education. The role requires on-site presence with travel for meetings and outreach activities.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining staffing ratios, guiding curriculum implementation, and ensuring timely documentation and family engagement. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid California Site Supervisor Permit (CCTC).
• Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Three (3) semester units Infant/Toddler Care for Infant/Toddler centers; CSPP centers exceptions.
• Six (6) semester units in supervision/administration in ECE or CD.
• Two (2) semester units in adult supervision in ECE/CD.
• Minimum of two (2) years of management or supervisory experience in an early childhood setting.
• Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification.
• Completion of eight (8) hour Preventive Health Practices course.
• Strong leadership, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and licensing regulations.
• Ability to supervise staff, analyze operations, and maintain positive relationships.
• Proficiency with computers; MS Office.
• Valid CA Driver's License and proof of automobile liability insurance.
• Must pass health requirements and Live Scan clearance.
• Regular attendance; on-site position with travel for meetings/ outreach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations to ensure licensing regulations, funding requirements, and MAOF policies are followed.
• Supervise, mentor, evaluate, and support teaching staff for quality instruction.
• Maintain staffing levels and appropriate child-to-teacher ratios.
• Monitor curriculum implementation and review lesson plans.
• Ensure child assessments, parent conferences, and program documentation are completed timely.
• Monitor enrollment and reports to meet program requirements.
• Promote positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners.
• Conduct staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing coaching.
• Ensure health, safety, sanitation, and safety procedures in the center.
