About the Role

The Child Care Cook, Food Specialist, is responsible for overall food preparation for the school’s enrolled children. This role involves adapting to menu changes and meeting meal and snack schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within the school's menu and budget, complying with state and federal requirements. Prepare and distribute meals and snacks for children and staff.
• Follow daily menus provided by the Director, ensuring compliance with USDA, licensing, and health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies, and reorder as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.

Job Requirements

• Experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare setting is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility regarding work hours and schedule.
