Child Care Center Cook

Join our Bright Horizons Vita Kids Learning Center in conjunction with the Standard Process family as a Cook, where your cooking talents and kitchen management skills will make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, families, and staff!

Direct and oversee the operations of the kitchen including menu development, meal preparation, and inventory ordering. You'll do rewarding work and receive big smiles and enthusiastic goodbye waves from little ones at the end of each day.

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday between 6am-2pm, approximately 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff.
2. Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
3. Manage all aspects of meal prep, cooking, and sanitation compliance.

Qualifications:

• Must pass required state and company background checks.
• Meet minimum education and experience requirements: 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Relevant experience in a licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen is required.

Compensation: The hourly rate ranges from $17.75 to $18.25 per hour. Actual offers depend on experience, education, certifications, location, and other factors.
