Job summary

Big Blue Marble Academy is seeking an Early Child Care Bus Driver in Martinez, CA. You will follow safety guidelines and transport children to and from school and field trips, ensuring daily inspections and compliance with DMV rules.

The role supports a team-oriented environment with on-the-job training and opportunities to grow within the center. A good DMV record and childcare experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with a high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated experience working with children or in childcare settings preferred.
• Must maintain a good DMV record and provide a DMV report annually.

Responsibilities

• Follow local and state transportation safety guidelines.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bus inspections and report maintenance.
• Transport elementary students to school and during summer field trips.
• Remain compliant with DMV rules and regulations.
• Support the Center Director as needed in classrooms or tasks.

As an Early Child Care Bus Driver, you will:

• Follow local and state guidelines for transportation safety
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly bus inspections and report maintenance concerts to leadership
• Follow the schedule assigned for pick-up and drop-off of elementary-aged children to local schools and during summer field trips
• Remain in compliance with Department of Motor Vehicle rules and regulations
• Support the center Director as needed in classrooms or with other delegated tasks

Requirements:

• At least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required
• Must maintain a good DMV record and supply Director with a copy of DMV record annually
• Demonstrated experience working with children, child care, daycare, or preschool preferred
• Must read, follow, and enforce the Policy and Procedure Manual
• At least six months working in a licensed childcare facility
• Early childhood coursework, CDA or degree preferred
• Flexibility with hours and job responsibilities
