Job description

SUMMARY:Under the general direction of the Guest Services Supervisor, the Child Care Attendant is responsible for the care, supervision, and safety of children at the Fruita Community Center childcare facility. This position will provide exemplary customer service to the patrons of the Community Center and the citizens and employees of the City of Fruita.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Greet and register guests to the childcare facility
• Supervision and care of children at the Fruita Community Centerfacility
• Keep all appropriate records such as logs, waivers, and cards on eachchild
• Maintain daily open communication withparents
• Adhere to safety rules and emergencyprocedures
• Maintain a safe and healthyenvironment
• Sanitize toys and playequipment
• Clean windows, and bathrooms on a dailybasis
• Other duties asassigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in childcare preferred. Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation. American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid preferred but may be obtained within 6 months ofhire.
