Job summary

Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, VT is seeking a Childcare Attendant to care for children aged 2 months to 6 years in a safe, engaging setting. You’ll lead activities, supervise play, and support families within a team of educators.

Starting wage is $20.00–$23.00 per hour. This is a Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 role with full-time and part-time shifts and housing options for staff.

Qualifications

• A trainee is able to comprehend basic written format and meets one of the following qualifications:
• High School Diploma, or GED
• Rest of education can be met within 12 months
• Experience working with groups of children ages 18 months to 5 years

Responsibilities

• Provide a pleasant, safe and clean environment suitable for children and staff
• Accountable to Child Care Manager, and Assistant Child Care Manager
• Work with children to provide a pleasant experience including games, feeding, and changing
• Comply with all State Regulations including required training and education
• Eat Lunch with the children; feed younger children according to parent schedule
• Diaper children, assist in toilet training
• Supervised by Teacher, Head Teacher, or Manager.

Education

Do you love caring for young children in a fun and safe environment? The Childcare Attendant is responsible for the personal needs of children ages 2 months to 6 years (feeding, sleeping, diapering), and for various children's activities such as art, story time, games, and outside play.

Physical Demands (to include, but not limited to the following):

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to handle climate changes and dress appropriately for outdoor activities
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, lift, tumble, jump, skip, hop and dance for long periods of time

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
