Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Norwood, MA is looking for an Associate Center Director to partner with the Center Director, teachers, and families to provide a safe, nurturing home away from home for children aged 6 weeks through 12 years.

You will help manage budgets, staff scheduling, licensing compliance, and daily operations while substituting as Center Director when needed; strong leadership and customer-service are essential for creating a professional, motivated team.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• 2+ years of childcare or teaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Able to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years.
• Ensure staff understand objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Assist the Center Director with licensing requirements and internal policies.
• Understand, manage, and track expenses, revenue, and goals for annual budgeting.
• Substitute as Center Director in the event of their absence.
• Serve as a resource and leader to all personnel, striving to create a professional and motivating work environment.
• Review staffing needs, scheduling, and classroom assignments.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with children, parents and staff.

What will you be doing?
