BrightPath Kids in New Milford, CT is seeking an Associate Center Director to partner with the Center Director, teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care.

You will work with leadership to ensure safety, program quality, and regulatory compliance, while guiding staff and managing classroom operations. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• 2+ years of childcare or teaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years.
• Ensure staff understand objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Assist Center Director with licensing requirements and internal policies.
• Manage expenses, revenue and annual budgeting goals.
• Substitute as Center Director in their absence.
• Lead and motivate staff to maintain a professional environment.
• Review staffing, scheduling and classroom assignments.
• Maintain effective communication with children, parents and staff.

What will you be doing?

As an Associate Center Director, you will work with the Center Director, teachers, and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years.
• Ensure that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Assist the Center Director with adherence to childcare licensing requirements as well as internal policies of the company.
• Understand, manage, and track expenses, revenue, and goals for annual budgeting.
• Substituting as Center Director in the event of their absence.
• Serve as a resource and leader to all personnel, striving to create and maintain a professional and motivating work environment.
• Review staffing needs, scheduling, and classroom assignments.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with children, parents and staff.
