Job summary

Armed Services YMCA of The U S A in Texas is seeking a part-time Child Watch Staff to provide a safe, caring and enriching environment for children enrolled in the ASYMCA Child Watch Program. Availability Monday–Sunday, 8am–12pm and 4pm–8pm is required.

You will greet families, support activities, maintain a sanitized area, and follow ASYMCA safety standards. Prior child care experience and willingness to work with children of all ages are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old; 18+ preferred.
• Six months or more experience with children preferred.
• Ability to plan age-appropriate games and activities.
• Strong communication with children, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with children and families.
• Assist with daily activities and supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe play area and follow safety rules.
• Support program staff and substitute when needed.
