Base Pay Range

$18.00/hr - $20.80/hr

Duties
  • Serves as a Child and Youth Program Assistant in a Child and Youth Services program, maintaining control and safety of children and youth.
  • Plans, coordinates, and conducts activities addressing the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of participants.
  • Creates a positive environment that fosters participant interest and promotes healthy interactions.
  • Prepares and maintains indoor and outdoor activity areas, accommodating daily schedules and children with special needs.
  • Maintains participation data and completes daily reports.
Requirements

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of appointment.
  • Requires Direct Deposit and Social Security Card.
  • Meets qualification, eligibility, physical, and background requirements.
  • Current health assessment, immunizations, and good mental and physical health documentation required.
  • Probationary period may be required.
  • Annual training and on-the-job competence demonstration are mandatory.
  • May involve irregular hours, evenings, or weekends.
  • Satisfactory employment verification (E-Verify) required.
  • For positions in Child Development Centers, physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs., walk, bend, and stand is necessary.
  • Mandatory reporting of child abuse/neglect.
  • Training required to administer medications, perform CPR/first aid, and provide accommodations for children with special needs.
  • Travel may be required; work involves indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Pre-employment background checks and Child Care Tier 1 background investigation required.
Qualifications

Entry Level (CY-01):

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written.

Higher levels (Skill Level CY-01, Target Level CY-02):

Refer to the Applicant Information Kit for detailed requirements. College transcripts or certificates may be needed for higher levels.

Education

Minimum high school diploma or GED; proof required at application. Education must be directly related to the position. All documents must be in English or translated.

Additional Information

Area of Consideration: Worldwide, including MSP and ISMP eligible candidates.
