Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking a full‑time Psychologist to join Hawthorn Children's Psychiatric Hospital in St. Louis, MO. The role focuses on inpatient and residential youth ages 6–17, delivering evidence‑based psychotherapy and psychological services.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.
• Licensure as a psychologist in Missouri.
• Work in acute inpatient and residential units for youth ages 6–17.
• Experience with child/adolescent populations and families.
• Trauma‑informed treatment experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy for inpatient and residential youth.
• Conduct psychodiagnostic evaluations for child/adolescent clients and provide feedback to families and teams.
• Complete therapy notes, evaluation reports, and weekly treatment plan reviews.
• Participate in Master Treatment Plan, Treatment Plan Review, and discharge planning meetings.
• Participate in inpatient/residential rounds and provide psychological consultation.
• Complete progress notes and evaluation reports in a timely manner.
• Support clients and staff during and after crisis events; participate in psychology department meetings.
• Complete online in-service trainings; provide supervision of psychology interns as needed.
• Possibly supervise LPC clinicians in psychotherapy and case management.
• Contribute to hospital committees on policy, procedures, and program decisions.
