Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus offers a PMHNP APP Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, a nine-month training program at PMHI in Children’s Hospital Colorado, Aurora, CO. Fellows rotate through six departments and complete a capstone project while learning from a multidisciplinary team.

Fellows will teach and mentor PMHNP students, participate in didactics on pharmacotherapy, pharmacogenomics, and neuroscience, and collaborate to advance patient care and education.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a PMHNP Program accredited by the CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA.
• At start date, APRN applicants must possess a Colorado RN license and ANCC Board Certification as a PMHNP. Prescriptive authority is required.

Responsibilities

• Apply and implement evidence-based approaches to care following pediatric guidelines.
• Conduct initial psychiatric diagnostic interviews and develop/treat plans with timely documentation.
• Maintain a supervised caseload across inpatient and outpatient rotations.
• Provide preceptor experiences for APRN students with appropriate experience and certification.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary setting with physicians, family therapists, psychologists, and trainees.
