Job summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria seeks a child and adolescent psychiatrist to expand outpatient and community-based services and strengthen medical education for residents and medical students.

The appointee will lead development of a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship, supervise trainees, and collaborate with community partners to advance education, clinical care, scholarship and outreach.

Qualifications

• MD or DO graduate from LCME/AACOM-accredited medical school.
• Graduate of an ACGME-approved child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship.
• Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Illinois.
• ABPN board-certified in adult and child & adolescent psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care and expansion of child and adolescent psychiatric services.
• Supervision and teaching of general psychiatry residents and medical students.
• Function as a University faculty member, performing duties appropriate to academic rank and position.
• Support the development of a C&A psychiatry fellowship, administration of the program, and recruitment/selection of faculty.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
