Job summary

UIC Bowhead Transport, LLC seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee maintenance, operation, and repair of propulsion, power generation, electrical, HVAC, and deck machinery aboard company vessels. You will ensure reliability and safety through predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance.

You may supervise engineers, support training, and assist the Project Manager with maintenance records and regulatory compliance, while promoting a safe working environment and effective teamwork in demanding

Qualifications

  • Must hold USCG DDE license rated for 4,000 HP with STCW-95 endorsement.
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience aboard vessels with maintenance expertise.
  • U.S. citizenship and valid passport; TWIC and driver's license with remaining validity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance of propulsion, electrical, HVAC, and deck systems.
  • Supervise engineering crew and provide training support.
  • Compile vessel maintenance records and ensure regulatory compliance.
