UCG Staffing is seeking a Chief Underwriting Officer to lead underwriting strategy and profitability across the organization. The CUO will own guidelines, portfolio decisions and letters of authority, coordinating with actuarial, legal and IT to modernize platforms.

This hybrid role reports to the President & CEO and requires 15+ years of underwriting leadership in commercial E&S with strong collaboration skills and a track record of building high-performing teams across multiple U.S. offices.

Competenze

• 15+ years of progressive underwriting experience in commercial E&S.
• Extensive experience with casualty and property lines.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CPCU/CIC designation preferred.
• Proven leadership across multiple offices and business units.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Review strategy, portfolio performance and financial targets within risk tolerances.
• Lead cross-unit collaboration to adapt to market conditions.
• Ensure underwriting guidelines and reinsurance treaties are followed.
• Develop training programs with HR and retain top talent.
