Job summary

KEMBA is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead the enterprise technology strategy, aligning data, digital capabilities, and security with organizational priorities. You will steer governance, planning, and the technology portfolio from an executive vantage point, driving resilience and growth across the credit union.

The role requires a strategic tech leader with deep financial industry experience, strong collaboration skills, and a track record of delivering scalable, compliant technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years' experience managing and/or directing technological operations.
• 7+ years' experience working in the financial industry.
• Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development.
• Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including telecommunications, networks, programming, media, and desktops.
• Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems.
• Technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, and user support.
• Excellent understanding of project management principles.
• Hands-on leadership and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a member of the executive management team in governance processes of the organization's architecture, telecommunications, networks, programming, media, and desktops
• Leads strategic technological planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies
• Develops and communicates business/technology alignment plans to executive team, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders
• Directs development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan
• Assesses and communicates risks associated with technology-related investments and purchases
• Defines requirements for new technology implementations and communicate them to key business stakeholders
• Reviews hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements
• Develops an understanding of Credit Union history, philosophy, organization, policies, and operational procedures
• Oversees and develops patenting of intellectual property, inventions, and business processes
• Ensures compliance with industry regulations and corporate policies
